Bergmann acted as counsel to wpd europe GmbH in securing financing arrangements for the Tohkoja wind power project

Bergmann Attorneys at Law advised wpd europe GmbH in the process of securing project financing for construction of the 72.6 megawatt wind farm Tohkoja in the municipality of Kalajoki, Finland. Financing arrangements were successfully completed in August 2015.

The capital required for the Tohkoja project will be provided by wpd equity as well as the Commerzbank AG and the Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale. The installation of 22 wind turbines is scheduled to be completed until December 2016.

wpd europe GmbH is a leading developer and operator of wind farms. The company is a joint undertaking of privately-held wpd AG, Bremen, Germany, and the municipal utility company of Munich, Stadtwerke München GmbH. In Finland, wpd europe GmbH holds various wind farm projects, two of which (Mäkikangas in the municipality of Pyhäjoki, 33 MW, and Jokela in the neighborhood of Tohkoja, 36 MW) are in the construction phase.
